the missing game || της Σαλώμης

We are playing the “missing game”:
I tell you I miss you,
And you miss me back.

I miss your touch,
I miss the warmth of your hug,
I miss your soft lips,
I miss your hips,
I miss the smell of your hair,
I miss the depth of your eyes,
I miss your smile,
I miss your hand on my chest,
I miss your voice,
I miss your joy.

I even miss your grumpy mood,
As we wake up in the morning.
Together we sink,
Together we blend,
We make love,
We laugh,
I cry.
You hold me in place,
You put me at ease,
You listen,
You care.
You say you feel “at home” with me,
You can’t wait to be back,
You reach out to my heart,
You make it palpitate,
You make the world stop,
You bring fireworks and sunshine,
You shower me with love,
You never pretend.

It’s only been a day, yet I miss you.
You dance around my brain on repeat,
– Somehow you never miss the beat –
You sing me compliments,
You paint a smile on my face,
And I tingle with excitement.

You may be far, but you are close to me.
Our feet touch different grass,
But our hearts are in sync.
We breathe a different air,
Even when we speak as one.
We long to meet again.
